About this book:

Technical Mechanics - An Introduction An introduction to technical mechanics is an integral part of the training of engineers, be it civil or mechanical engineers, or even physics engineers. Enriched with many examples, the selection of material in this volume offers an introduction to the fundamentals of technical mechanics. The first part of the seven chapters in this volume deals with the forces acting on a point mass, statics of rigid bodies and elastostatics within the framework of statics. The second part, within the context of dynamics, deals with point mass kinetics, the dynamics of rigid bodies, systems of point masses and continuum mechanics, the latter with a focus on hydrodynamics.

For whom could this book be of interest?

This book was written for college students majoring in natural sciences or engineering fields as an introduction into the field of technical mechanics / engineering mechanics. However, younger readers such as high school honor students with an interest in physics & engineering should also be able to work through the material with significant gain. Of course, this introductory text should also be of interest to science readers in general.
